More Sense From Leanne

And Yet . . .

. . . not all politicians care about those they represent.

Here in Wales, more and more people are struggling to pay their rent and keep pace with the cost of living.

That’s simply because there have been changes to the Social Security Welfare payments.   And if you, like me, have spoken to people who have been messed about by the changes, you will be as angry as I.

The seemingly simple change from paying State benefits fortnightly instead of weekly have made poorer families struggle even more.

I understand, by the way, that the people of Wales are suffering more than those in England or Scotland.   But I do not know why.

About Archie Lowe

Though not born in Wales, I have lived and worked here for many years now. I love the place and love that mercurial thing "Welshness". I have been accused of being "a Taffophile" - which is pretty near the truth. The question I ask whenever some idea comes up for the whole of the UK is: "What's in it for Wales". I believe in an independent Wales and am so pleased that our Assembly is a big step on that road.
